Board Information
President
The President shall preside at all meetings of the membership. The President shall have the following duties:
They shall preside at all meetings of the Executive Committee.
They shall have general superintendence and direction of all other officers of this corporation and see that their duties are properly performed.
They shall submit a report of the operations of the program for the fiscal year to the Board of Directors at their annual meetings, and from time to time, shall report to the Board all matters that may affect this program.
They shall maintain the non-profit status of this corporation by maintaining and submitting documentation as needed
They shall be Ex-officio members of all standing committees and shall have the power and duties usually vested in the office of the President.
Vice-President
The Vice-President shall be vested with all the powers and shall perform all the duties of the President during the absence of the latter. The Vice-President’s duties are:
They shall have the duty of chairing their prospective committee and such other duties as may, from time to time, be determined by the Board of Directors.
They shall assist the President as directed to provide general superintendence and direction to all other officers of this corporation and see that their duties are properly performed.
They shall send notices of all meetings to the members of the Board of Directors and shall take reservations for the meetings.
They shall perform all official correspondence from the Board of Directors as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors or the President.
Section 3. Secretary
The Secretary shall attend all meetings of the Board of Directors, and will act as a clerk thereof. The Secretary’s duties shall consist of:
They shall record all votes and minutes of all proceedings in a book to be kept for that purpose.
They in concert with the President shall make the arrangements for all meetings of the Board of Directors, including the annual meeting of the organization.
Treasurer
The Treasures duties shall be:
They shall submit for the approval of the board all expenditures of funds raised by the Corporation.
They shall present a complete and accurate report of the finances raised by this Board of Directors at each meeting of the members, or at any other time upon request of the Board of Directors.
They shall have the right to inspection of the funds resting with the Corporation, including budgets.
They shall prepare the budget annually and make adjustments as needed, with the approval of the President, Vice-President, and sitting Principal of Da Vinci Charter Academy.
They shall prepare and submit the State and Federal Tax documents, in collaboration with the President, and Vice-President.
Technology Officer
The Technology Officer duties shall be:
They shall maintain the Da Vinci Alumni Network website on a quarterly basis.
They shall maintain the membership registry.
They shall provide support for Board Members' email & Google accounts.
Support messaging the DVAN membership through the Mailchimp system.
Outreach Coordinator
The Outreach Coordinator duties shall be:
They shall lead outreach to grow the member registry
They shall lead the work of outreach for DVAN events
Events Coordinator
The Events Coordinator duties shall be:
They shall lead the work of organizing reunions.
They shall lead the work of organizing alumni and current student events.
They shall collaborate with the Outreach Coordinator for events outreach.
Communications Specialist
The Communications Specialist duties shall be:
They shall lead the work of recruiting graduating Da Vinci seniors to become DVAN members
They shall oversee all messaging sent out to DVAN membership
They shall collaborate with the Outreach Coordinator and Events Coordinator to foster communication among DVAN members as well as between alumni and current students
Mentorship Coordinator
The Mentorship Coordinator duties shall be:
They shall coordinate with Da Vinci faculty and staff to foster mentor relationships between DVAN members and current students
They shall oversee any necessary training of mentors and reasonably monitor communication between mentor/mentee pairs to ensure that dialogue remains productive and professional
